Reduce The Appearance of Scar Tissue Naturally
A scar is a mark left on our skin due to a cut, burn, or a sore that hasn’t healed completely and fibrous connective tissue has developed in the area of the wound. Scars vary in size due to the severity of the injury. Some people enjoy showing off their scars, as a sign of an adventure while others are embarrassed by them. I have a scar on my forehead from 11 stitches I received after falling out of my mom’s parked car at a very young age. It has faded over time, but I hated it when I was younger, even in my 20’s. I always wore bangs to cover it up. Now that I am a bit older and hopefully a lot wiser, I don’t mind my scar at all and enjoy telling the ridiculous story of how I got it. I also enjoy hearing other people tell their tales of mishaps and adventures they’ve had that may have left a scar somewhere on their body. But I also appreciate that some people wish they didn’t have their scars, whether looking at their scar invokes a painful memory, or they just feel it’s unattractive. I’ve put together a recipe for a home-made massage oil that can help reduce scar tissue. This is not a quick fix and does require time and commitment, but once you see the results, you’ll be happy you reduced the appearance of your scar without using any harsh chemicals.
Scar Tissue Massage Oil
3 Tbsp. of a Carrier Oil such as Almond or Avocado
30 Drops Frankincense Essential Oil

Pour a small amount of the Scar Tissue Massage Oil into the palm of your hand and gently massage onto the scar twice daily.
Frankincense Essential Oil: Not only does Frankincense help to heal scar tissue, it promotes new skin cell growth which grows over the scar, creating smoother skin. It has also been shown to improve skin tone, reduce and or eliminate wrinkles.
Lavender Essential Oil: Lavender has many therapeutic benefits. It has terrific anti-inflammatory properties and is helpful for soothing several skin conditions. Lavender works to prevent scar tissue from forming as well as reducing the appearance of existing scar tissue.
