Reiki and the Crown Chakra

Reiki and the Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is your centre for spirituality, trust, inspiration, serenity, joy and happiness. It is located at the crown of your head. The colour associated with the crown chakra is violet. Elements for the crown chakra are thought and light.

The crown chakra is mainly associated with the nervous system.

When out of balance, symptoms may include a departure from reality, a feeling of superiority, experiencing an identity crisis or a lack of empathy for others.

Physical symptoms of an unbalanced crown chakra may include chronic exhaustion with no explanation, migraine headaches, dizziness, a feeling of floating or vertigo, a sensitivity to light and sound.

Healing foods: There isn’t a specific food that is connected to the crown chakra as it is our spiritual chakra. Detoxification and cleansing, eating pure, organic foods, are key to balancing and opening your crown chakra. Fresh, unpasteurized juices are excellent for nourishing the crown.

Healing exercises: Meditation is a powerful way to balance your crown chakra, even more potent if you can meditate outside in nature! Picture a beautiful white light pouring into the top of your head, filling you with healing energy, while you meditate. Thought and light are elements connected with the crown chakra, so read a book or do a crossword puzzle while sitting in the bright sunshine.

Healing affirmations: I am divine. I welcome all that comes into my life with trust and selflessness. Life will provide me with many wonders today. I embrace others without conditions.

Healing Modalities: Reiki

Reiki is a specific type of subtle energy work in which healing is performed by the light touch of the hands, allowing the flow of energy from a limitless source to the recipient via the Reiki practitioner.

When Reiki is performed on the crown chakra it releases negative energy, you may feel a sense of devotion to the well-being of others, a spiritual connection to your higher self, and a great intuitive knowledge.
