Natural Aid For Heartburn
Heartburn may occur after eating certain trigger foods, such as fried foods, processed and refined foods, greasy foods, coffee, drinks containing caffeine such as soda, or simply overeating. Heartburn is your body’s way of telling you to stop eating these foods. Specific triggers do differ from person to person.
To quickly relieve heartburn, take an ounce of straight apple cider vinegar. It may burn a bit going down, but within seconds you will experience relief. It is strong tasting, you can dilute it with water, but it does work best on its own.
Though vinegar is acidic, apple cider vinegar is alkaline-forming. When it meets stomach acid it decreases the acidity in the stomach. Due to the apple cider vinegar being alkaline forming, it has an alkalizing influence on the body, which most people need thanks to our modern, acid forming diets.
You can find apple cider vinegar in organic sections of most grocery stores, or at your local health food store.
If you have chronic heartburn or acid indigestion, you need to change your lifestyle. Start with a healthy diet. Avoid trigger foods. Stop overeating. If you aren’t sure where to start, please contact me and we can set up a consultation.
